The Condo
With 5 and half bath and 5 bedrooms, there is plenty of room for everyone to have their own space according to their needs without disturbing others – there’s a washing machine and dryer in its own utility room, a large office space complete with desk, a large living room, sitting room and a dining table that can seat a crowd.
Drinks and Dining
Arrange for groceries to be stocked prior to arrival to make the most of your time. The sleek modern kitchen is fully equipped and I loved picking up lobster, tuna and snapper at Simpson Bay fish market and preparing it at my leisure, glass of wine in hand. Prefer dining out? Nearby Simpson Bay is full of restaurants, cafes and bars.
The Whole Picture
The Cliff has a nice tennis court, outdoor infinity pool lined with semi-precious lapis lazuli stones, and sits on a beautiful sliver of Cupecoy beach. Venture through the fitness centre and a door takes you to the inside pool, jacuzzi and sauna. On ground level, pathways meander through trickling brooks and ginger lilies, and the colonial louvered doors, frame a perfect view of sunset.

This seemed like a natural spin off business opportunity. We work with a lot of absentee owners who require these services after they purchase a property from us. For many years we were sending this business to other companies on island but it reached a point where we realized it was more advantageous for us to provide these services under our umbrella.
Why should guests consider booking a vacation rental instead of a hotel?
Booking a vacation property instead of a traditional hotel offers a very different experience, especially with larger groups. For example, at the end of the day if you are staying at a traditional hotel everyone goes back to their own rooms, whereas at a vacation property family and friends tend to continue bonding together while enjoying the features of that property whether that be the pool area, living rooms, kitchen, etc.
What does Ire Vacations provide that large vacation rental booking websites cannot?
We are a boutique operation which allows us to provide a tailored and personal service that caters specifically to the guests wants, needs, and preferences. We also have local expertise and contacts that larger booking sites simply can’t offer.
What is so special about SXM (St. Martin/Maarten) for guests?
SXM is the most diverse island in the Caribbean – half French, half Dutch, it offers a European and Caribbean experience.
We also have a wide variety of excellent dining options in all budgets and cuisine types. All this is complimented by 37 white sand beaches, great weather year round, incredible shopping, vibrant nightlife with bars, lounges, casinos, etc.
But the most special thing about the island is the people, we are called “The Friendly Island,” for a reason, with a total population under 100 000 people we boast over 100 different nationalities that reside peacefully alongside each other. SXM is a genuine melting pot where people have come from all over the world to enjoy life.
