This hip, small-plate restaurant specializes in Italian and Peruvian food.
Located in Covent Garden, London the Italian and Peruvian focused menu at Monmouth Kitchen is succinct but flawless.
Inside the hip restaurant, small plates are meant for sharing and, have the added benefit of pairing excellently with signature cocktails like seven dials punch made with rum, velvet Falernum, lemon verbena syrup, and green tea.
Start with the silky wild mushroom and ricotta ravioli with sage butter, followed by the crisp tuna and chilli lemon tacos (you’ll immediately order another round).
For drama, sizzling smoked lamb cutlet aticucho (Peruvian skewers) are proudly brought to the table on a hot lava stone, with the delightful heat of warming chili, while chicken lollipops with rocoto pepper yogurt are pleasantly tangy.
Don’t leave without a taste of the coffee almendra, a take on classic crème brûlée. Everything here is not only insta-pretty but distinctive and abundantly flavourful. Plus, you know things are on point when you don’t want to share. monmouthkitchen.co.uk
