I always think it’s a good idea to wear minimal makeup on the airplane then touch up when you land. a good tinted moisturizer to provide a bit of color to the skin and even out the tone while combating the dry cabin air is always a good idea. and of course, mascara!

Get the Italian look
“I think Italian women love makeup, just as most women do no matter what their cultural background. one of the main differences I’ve noticed is that Italian women focus mainly on their eyes and wear a lot of eyeliner and often, nothing more. So I see a lot of bare faces with eye makeup and maybe lipstick.

Do It Yourself

My top 3 travel essential makeup products are a concealer to cover the tired red eyes and any blemishes or uneven skin color, Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm in hibiscus and, black/brown mascara works well for everyone.

Must Haves

1. Skin: apply moisturizer or tinted moisturizer and use a minimal amount of a translucent powder to set it.

2. Lips:  apply lip gloss for a bit of color and again to combat the ultra dry air inside the plane.

3. Eyes: apply mascara to quickly and effortlessly define the eyes.
