CSL’s runway report shows you all the greatest looks of the season!
1/ Classic Combo: Black and White
Pretty is as pretty does! Bold black and snow white sharpen an outfit with clean lines. Don’t shy away from pattern either, the contrast draws the eye in.
2/ Redux: Electric Pink
Perky, sun-kissed colours give way to darker, sultrier hues. The frothy pink of summer turns a deeper shade come fall. Go monochromatic or pair with black.
3/ Sophisticated: Ladylike Slit
Why not go for the old Hollywood staple? Slits give just the right amount of flirtiness to a flowy dress, military suit, pencil skirt or ruffled skirt.
4/ Never out of Style: Long Coats
From floor grazing numbers, to dusters and smocks, let your outerwear make a statement.
5/ Make a Statement With: Print & Pattern
Style is in the details and eye-catching pattern is one way to go! Tartan is a perennial favourite for this time of year but so too ombre, ikat, tightly woven zigzag, and tweed.
6/ The New: Pant Suit
Softly tailored pant suits this season offer less structure, mid-hip jackets, and wider pants for greater movement. Wear with a white blouse or no blouse at all.
7/ Mix and Match: Primary Colour
A painter’s palette this is not! It’s a fun, playful take on mixing colour.
8/ Not Just for Summer: Maxi Dress
As days grow shorter don’t think your hemline needs to do so as well. Long gowns floated down runways in every colour and fabric imaginable. They are not only for special occasions either, paired with a jacket it’s office appropriate.
9/ It’s In The Bag: Fall Bags
Fall’s freshest accessory is easy to get a handle on. From supercute totes to satchels and shoulderbags this season’s bags all featured one thing – a prominent handle – practical and stylish for work, the gym, and evening.
10/ Accessorize Danglers: Long earrings
Mixed metals, pearls, and shoulder grazing earrings accentuate bold pattern, embellishment and textures.
