From a British born cracker, and a Canadian success story to the flavours of Japan and Indian street food inspiration, this seasons best food products.

1/ Original Splitz Split Pea Crisps
These split pea gluten-free snacks are a cross between a crunchy noodle and a papadum and come in three flavours (original, falafel and fiery garlic). With a hint of Indian spices, there is nothing on the ingredient list that we couldn’t pronounce or recognize. Try these protein-packed matchsticks sprinkled as croutons on salads, topped on rice pilaf or mixed with popcorn and nuts for a savoury trail mix.

2/  Eden Foods Toasted Sesame Oil
Imparting a nutty, umami flavour, that is deeper than sesame oil (the seeds are toasted before being ground for oil), a little of this khaki-coloured oil goes a long way. We prefer it as a seasoning oil (in marinades, dressings or sauces) or used as finishing oil (drizzle it over noodles, rice or sushi once prepared). It will keep in a cool, dark area in its amber glass bottle for several months.

3/ Sapadilla Rosemary and Peppermint Dish Soap
Celebrate a Canadian success story with these eco-cleaners. The clean packaging means that the dish soap is pretty enough to keep near the sink. Best of all, the plant-derived products (including hand soap, laundry liquid all purpose cleaners and countertop cleansers) are made with essential oils, which are known to lift moods. This means that you’ll be singing while you work.

4/  Rude Health The Oaty
With all the goodness of oats and the richness of olive oil, these are wheat-free, British-born thick crackers. A great addition to a cheese board, they work best with strong tastes like goat cheese or stilton. Dress them up with bold cream cheese and smoked salmon, or with tapenade for easy appetizers. For the ultimate treat, pair with a glass of bubbly.

5/  Sencha Naturals Original Green Tea Mint Refills
Sweetened with coconut sugar, these leaf-shaped mints deliver freshness with the anti-oxidant benefits of green tea. Expect an earthy flavour from these breath fresheners. The cute recyclable and compostable eco-tubes come in four flavours including ginger lemongrass and cardamom cinnamon.
