If you’re working abroad, you’ll know that having a connected laptop or large format device is just easier than trying to do it all on your phone.
CSL tested the Simo Solis Pro 5G Mobile Hotspot and Power Bank for one month, here’s what we found.
Pros
The power bank with 5G performance is easy to set-up and intuitive to use. It comes with 1GB of data per month for the life of the device and you can connect up to 20 devices. Loading additional data (daily, monthly or by GB) is easy and once the first plan expires, the top-up just rolls over automatically.
Cons
CSL conducted several virtual meetings using the device. While some were crystal clear, others had severe interference delays and pausing. Participants on the other end were unable to hear us at times making communication cumbersome. Also, some online forms we accessed for work appeared in a language other than English, meaning the form had to be translated before submitting.
Bottom Line
The device provides useful functions while travelling internationally, like browsing, accessing graphic heavy websites, emails and even streaming. A game changer for work abroad.
