The Side Sweep

Tony Orlando may have sung: “tie a yellow ribbon in the old oak tree,” but we prefer it tied in tresses. This look draws inspiration from 40s screen goddesses whose locks flowed in cascading curls down one side of the face. To add more texture to the hair, begin by using a curling iron create ringlets throughout the hair. Brush out to create a softer texture. Create a deep side part and ample volume at the crown of your head. Gather hair on one side and tie with a scarf.

Sophisticated Pony Tail

Created by Moroccanoil Artistic Director Kevin Hughes to embrace each woman’s natural hair texture, begin with damp hair. Use a dime size amount of Moroccanoil Treatment to provide the perfect foundation for styling. Put in a centre part. Gather the hair low at the nape of the neck and use an elastic and secure hair in a low pony tail. Gently pull the hair above the elastic to release the top portion of the hair so it has an undone, soft feel and gives you a beautiful profile silhouette. Finish the look with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong. Place a piece of fabric or a scarf around the elastic and double knot and create a one-sided bow.

The Half-Updo

Dress up straight hair or natural wavy texture with a long ribbon bow. It’s incredibly easy and works for all lengths (yes, even bobs) with the exception of a crop cut. Gather hair from your crown and each side of your head into a ponytail, and secure with a ribbon clip. Alternatively, use and elastic to secure hair and tie a length of ribbon into a bow to conceal elastic. There are also cute elastics with bows attached that make the process even simpler
