At Home Food Photography Studio
Are you one of the millions of foodies that bears cold food just for the perfect snap? Take your food game to new heights, with an at-home photography setup. Follow these simple steps to capture your next mouth-watering creation. It’s like having your cake and eating it too!
1/ Get into the light.
Lighting is everything in photography. Think about where your light source is coming from (window, artificial, etc.). If you’re in a low lighting situation, consider a portable LED source, like the lightweight (140g) Manfrotto Lumimuse 3 ($69.95) which offers three dimmer options with either a warm or ultra white light filter. (It’s also great to add to your camera bag for those low-light restaurant settings).
2/ Be Versatile.
Don’t be a one-trick pony! Change up your angles for more interesting photos. Look for a tripod like Manfrotto BeFree GT XPRO ($399.95), with an articulated arm so that you can either shoot overhead, or from a 360-degree range.
3/ Don’t be afraid to play.
Change out accessories, introduce colour, or go full throttle monochromatic. If you’re new to photography, trial and error is your best friend.
