1 1/2 oz. (44ml) Marsala (Florio Marsala Vecchio Dolce )
1 ½ oz. (44ml) Campari
1 ½ oz. (44ml) Gin
1 egg white
Squeeze of lemon
pinch of cinnamon
1. pour the gin, and egg white into a cocktail shaker filled
with ice.
2. Shake vigorously
3. Strain into a chilled highball glass with ice cubes.
4. Garnish with zest of an orange.
Marsala is fortified Italian wine. Not only is it the colour of 2015, but marsala’s rich tone and deep flavour hold up to strong spices with tons of flavour. The preferred tipple in tiramisu, zabaglione and as an accompaniment to cheese, it is aged in oak barrels. This combination of a gin fizz and mulled wine is great for festive get-togethers.
