Toddler tantrums are often a sign of an overwhelmed nervous system, and gentle aromatherapy can offer a calming reset. Essential oils such as lavender, Roman chamomile, frankincense, sweet orange, and bergamot are known for their soothing properties and can help bring a sense of balance to young children.

A few drops placed on pajamas can promote more restful sleep, while properly diluted oils massaged into the soles of the feet can encourage relaxation after a long day. For children who feel anxious in the car, a terra cotta diffuser hung near a sunny window allows the oils to gently disperse, creating a peaceful environment.

Before bedtime, adding a few drops to a blanket and wrapping your child snugly can become a comforting ritual. Used thoughtfully, these simple techniques can help ease emotional storms and support a calmer, more regulated child.
