Taking home cases of wine is old school. Why not buy an entire barrel of tequila instead? Tequila Herradura Barrel Select Experience program gives tequila lovers the chance to order their very own Herradura Double Barrel Reposado. When bottled, each barrel yields approximately 240 bottles of specially crafted tequila that is rested in oak barrels for 11 months, then an additional month in another toasted oak
barrel. As part of the program, buyers will have the opportunity to visit Herradura’s Hacienda San Jose del Refugio near Guadalajara, Mexico as they hand pick the barrel of their choice. The barrel itself is then varnished, branded and shipped with a framed certificate of ownership. Price per barrel is approximately $10,000. Not up for that kind of investment just yet? Herradura reposado is a sterling alternative. Aged in
oak barrels for 11 months, it is light amber in colour with caramel, vanilla and cinnamon on the palate.
