Black and white attention-grabbing nails ruled the runways in animal print, marker or abstract patterns. CSL has 2 runway  looks that prove you don’t need colour to make a statement!

1/ TWISTED ZEBRA

RUNWAY “Everything about Christian Siriano’s Spring/Summer 2019 Collection felt fresh and fun, so I wanted to play off of that with an abstract nail,” said Lead Manicurist for KISS Products, Inc., Gina Edwards. “I dubbed this nail the ‘twisted zebra,’ a modern take on the animal print trend.”

GET THE LOOK Start with a black base nail. Find correct size, peel off backing and press on for a gel manicure in minutes. Using white polish, create pointed tear drop outline beginning at the cuticle and ending halfway down the nail bed. Fill in the shape with nail paint. Create fine hair-like strokes with a dry brush on the outer edges of the nails.

2/ GRAPHIC SCRIBBLE

RUNWAY At Moschino, Miss Pop for essie was inspired by fashion sketches translated into graphic black scribbles. “There are plaids in the show that appear as if they’ve been roughly hand-drawn with a Sharpie.”

GET THE LOOK Apply base coat. Dip a striping brush in black polish and use it to create a “scribble” design across the entire nail. Finish with a top coat for high shine.
