Ultimate Easy Cocktail Recipes: The classic drink of the season, no holiday table should be without it.
Serves 8.
Separate 4 eggs.
In a large bowl beat 4 egg yolks gradually adding ¼ cup (60 ml) of sugar until pale yellow and thick. Meanwhile combine 1 ½ cup (375 ml) milk with ½ cup (125 ml) cream 2 whole cloves and a pinch of cinnamon.
Beat into egg mixture with a whisk. Add ½ cup (125 ml) bourbon, 1 cup rum (250 ml), ½ cup (125 ml) cognac, stirring constantly.
Beat 4 egg whites to stiff peaks gradually adding ¼ cup ( 60 ml) of sugar. Fold into milk mixture.
Ladle into serving glass. Whip ½ cup (125 ml) whipping cream to stiff peaks.
Top serving glasses with whipped cream and grated nutmeg.
