Hotel Review: Hotel Trio
DINING
Start the morning at the breakfast buffet with a few hot items, pre-packaged fare and plenty of space to dine leisurely. The Lavazza coffee is excellent, and there are gluten free and non-dairy options.
DÉCOR
A ceiling-to-floor plant wall, large windows and a focal point outdoor pool make the hotel feel fresh and modern. No matter where you go on the ground floor there is ample room.
SETTING
The hotel sits a few blocks from the busy Redwood Highway. To access restaurants and sightseeing spots call for the free shuttle to downtown Healdsburg or use one of the hotel’s bikes. Arranging a ride is wonderfully casual.
HISTORY
Newly built and resembling a collection of townhouses, it is part of Marriott’s Residence Inn collection, complete with bocce ball court, fire pits, meeting space, fitness centre.
GUESTS
Conference attendees and business types give the hotel a quick professional pace. During work hours leisure guests will have much of the common space to themselves.
ROOMS
The 122 all-suite hotel is well-layed out and one-and two-bedroom offerings are compact, yet everything you want is within reach. A full kitchen, dishwasher, microwave and cooktop mean that you can prepare just what you like to pair with your favourite bottle of California wine.
BOTTOM LINE
Staff are incredibly friendly, rooms meet every need and this lovely hotel makes a great base from which to explore Sonoma County.
