Drama isn’t created equally. A simple palette can be just a stunning as heaps of colour. CSL has all the looks whether your goal is to amp it up or keep it simple.
1/ GET READY TO SMILE
The magic formula for creating this ethereal look? Using monochromatic rosy tones on the eyes, cheeks, and lips advises Maybelline New York’s Global Makeup Artist, Erin Parsons. “It’s a look that can be done in five minutes flat,” she said. “Anyone can do it.”
2/ NUDE LIPS
The look of just-applied lip colour, a hint darker than your natural lip colour, is best applied using fingertips. Makeup artist Gato did just that at Jonathan Simkhai.

3/ RETURN OF PEARLS
Pearls used to be tucked away in grandma’s jewellery box. No more! At Chanel ornate bangles and chains featured these underwater gemstones while at Adeam they were worn as multiple piercings giving them a contemporary edge. At Alice + Olivia they were tucked into braided hair.
4/ SLEEK AND SLICK HAIR
“The hair look reflects the collection’s clean lines and graphic design,” says lead stylist Bob Recine for amika. To get the look straighten the hair. Wet hair and apply generous amounts of mousse section by section, completely saturating the hair. If the hair is curly, saturate with gloss to create a wet look. Create a straight center part, combing the hair downwards and tucking it behind the ears. Next, pull a small strand out to lightly frame the face, as well as a few strands of hair from in front of the ear. To finish the look, apply hairspray.
5/ SHINE ON
Inspired by Michael Kors’ “contemporary Americana,” Dick Page used blush to give skin a “healthy energy” for Maybelline New York. For a sun-kissed flush, apply creamy blush just above the brows, horizontally across the bridge of the nose and cheeks, and along the center of the chin.
