The boutique hotel on Melville street is a pleasant hideaway from the hustle and bustle of Vancvouer.

ABOUT
The Loden hotel is tucked away on quiet Melville Street.  Boutique charm abounds and it is difficult to overlook the lobby with an inviting air of lightness and glamour, punctuated with mirrored glass and splashes of colour. The Loden spa, business and Befit studio fitness centre (well equipped and spacious) are all located on the garden terrace level and have enviable views of the rooftop patio and garden.

THE ROOM
My signature king room is luxurious and contemporary with an earth tone colour palette, dark wood accents and sleek furnishings. The moveable wall that opens onto the spacious bathroom is a unique feature as is the floor to ceiling glass wall behind the bed that opens up the space and floods it with light. The dark marble in the bathroom adds modernity, while the soaker tub with waterfall feature and separate rainfall shower are deluxe touches that are ideal for the frequent traveller.

EXTRAS
One of the coolest features at Loden are the bikes that are loaned to guests (check out Stanley Park). Gourmands will have more than a few cups of Nespresso or other refreshments available in the lobby throughout the day. For dining, the adjacent Tableau Bar Bistro offers French classics and we had a wonderful service from Martin Turpin.
