WHAT IS YUZU? Resembling a gnarled mandarin, the intoxicating fragrance and refreshing tanginess of this citrus fruit is its forte, a cross between a grapefruit, mandarin and lime.
WHERE TO GET YUZU JUICE? Yoshi Yuzu Juice First Press (300 ml, $41.23; qualifirst.com)
Ingredients
1 tablespoon yuzu juice
2 teaspoons lime juice
1 tablespoon triple sec
¾ tablespoon tequila reposado
1 teaspoon agave or simple syrup
Method
Rim half a glass with salt (optional)
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled glass with crushed ice.
Garnish with a cute lemon twist
